In these salons you will discover a depth and breadth both extraordinary and unexpected. Taking inspiration from the revolutionary growth of the European Renaissance, the salons will explore the possibilities for each participant through use of the arts, music, invention, parable, and creative story techniques. Participants will participate in an environment of rich cultural expression as they learn within both an intimate informal environment, and Ashland, Oregon, the new Athens of stage and art.
All Salons are held in the forest home of Jean Houston, located in the beautiful mountains of Southern Oregon. The salon groups are intentionally kept to a small group of students who are seeking individual attention and personal mentoring. During the first gathering, each person attends the five-day session and establishes his or her intention. The Salon then continues for the next six-months with teleconferences each month for ongoing teaching, problem solving, inspiration and mentoring with Dr. Houston.
